I am living with my husband in a small town in the Ural Mts of Russia near Siberia while he builds a factory. In my spare time I teach English once a week at the local school and I assist a volunteer organization with several orphanages in our area. We have started a church group in our town for the 11 Mormons who live in the area. It is held at our house on Sundays. The nearest branch is a 3 hour drive so we were very happy when our driver joined our church along with his wife, and another family moved nearby so we could meet together most of the time. My five children are scattered across the United
States working or going to school. They are really fun and keep us sane by talking to us regularly on the phone. Sometimes we feel quite isolated here with deep snow and frigid temperatures, but everything is an interesting adventure and we love learning about the culture and being part of a community that is in a state of transition.
